Target audience: Caregivers, PSWs and therapists

- Understand back anatomy and structures for back injury prevention
- Self-evaluate own body mechanics and practices and make necessary practice changes
- Minimize the negative effects of repetitive work and daily activities through proper body mechanics and ergonomics
- Recognize signs & symptoms of back injury to prevent further injury
- Increase safety of participants and residents during transfers
Office Ergonomics
Target audience: Desk workers
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand back anatomy and structures
- Self-evaluate own workplace set-up and practices to make necessary ergonomic changes
- Recognize signs and symptoms of an MSK injury to prevent further injury
- Name some ergonomic solutions to common postural issues at work
